Living Successfully – Failing Forward

Stepping stones

My great concern is not whether you have failed, but whether you are content with your failure. -Abraham Lincoln

The fact that we sometimes fail does not make us failures; what will cause us to be, is refusing to get up, dust yourself off and go again. Many of the great inventors “failed” repeatedly before eventually succeeding. What sets them apart was their ability to learn from, and allow these events to motivate them towards a goal.

Thomas Edison the inventor of the light bulb when asked "How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?" Edison replied, "I didn't fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps." When looked at this way failing takes you forward one step closer to success.

I urge you therefore, don’t give up on your vision because you have not yet succeeded, learn from your mistakes and move forward.

Other greats such as basket baller Michael Jordan, credit his success to his past failures and so can you.

We at Living Successfully Inc. believe in your success too and would like to assist you on that journey; maybe it is advancing your career, building a business or just being the best possible version of you. Talk to our certified professional coach and let us help you turn those failures into stepping stones to success.
